Below is a letter from a teacher at one of our schools in Southeast Aisa.
Dear Friends at Mustard Seed Canada,
Each new school year, Mustard Seed’s flagship school holds student elections for leadership positions, and as usual, over 70% of our high school students ran for leadership positions. It has been such a joy for me to take a little extra time to teach our high school students. In the past, I had been focusing all of my energy on developing our staff, training teachers, leading our teams, and starting new ministries. But this return to the classroom for several hours a day has given me a close-up view of the fruit of Mustard Seed’s ministries in Indonesia. Our students are thriving. They are eager to rise into the future. They demonstrate excellent decision-making skills and higher-level thinking skills. They are equipped and prepared to impact their world.
I want to express my deep and profound gratitude to Mustard Seed Canada for launching the Teacher Training Centre. This ministry is almost completely the fruit of Canadian donors. Thank you for responding to this exciting venture, which will equip, strengthen, and train hundreds, perhaps even thousands of Indonesian teachers. I am convinced that this Training Centre will ultimately become Mustard Seed’s greatest legacy in Indonesia.
Andrew
